“The Magic of Christmas” tonight at Clemson

The “Magic of Christmas” is the theme selected for tonight’s parade in Clemson.  The 28th Annual Clemson Christmas Parade from College Avenue to Strode Circle will march at 6 o’clock, with parade activities one hour earlier.  Road closure on College Avenue to Keith Street begins at 3 o’clock.  Access will be blocked between College Avenue and all side streets including North Clemson Avenue, Sloan Street, and Keith Street.  All vehicles on College must be moved from 3 pm…or they will be towed.  Starting at 4:45 there will be additional road closures, including 93 northbound and southbound between Cherry Road and Williamson Road. All barricades in place will remain until the end of the parade around 8 o’clock. Ushering in the parade will be Grand Marshal Dr. Delphine Dean, who is the Ron and Jane Lindsay Professor of Bio-engineering at Clemson.  She leads the lab that runs COVID 19 tests for the university and the community at Nettles Park.  When not in the lab, Dean dances ballet and will be on stage this month in the Nutcracker at the Brooks Center.
