The latest COVID-19 numbers from the state

The percentage for positivity of COVID-19 test results across South Carolina dipped below 10% for the 24-hour period that ended last Wednesday night, which represents the latest virus figures from the state health agency.  For Wednesday, based on 36,766 test results received, DHEC calculated the percentage to be 9.4%.  At the same time, deaths for that one, 24-hour count topped 100, at 111, including nine Anderson County deaths and 11 Pickens County deaths.  Confirmed new virus cases statewide:  2,602 (69 of them in Oconee County).  The next set of numbers covering Thursday through Saturday is to be released this afternoon.
