From the standpoint of Oconee Sheriff’s Office, the tornado made most difficult the task to free people trapped inside damaged homes.  According to Sheriff Crenshaw, fire and law enforcement personnel had to cut their way into most of the early cases of trapped home occupants.  But most of the calls the sheriff’s office received were downed trees downed power lines.  Adding to that difficulty were live wires.
