The check is in the mail

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative remains proud of 11 years running now since the electric power supplier has raised its retail rates—in spite of some wholesale increases. Jim Lovinggood, general manager, reported today the multi-county supplier remains in good financial condition having connected 700 new customers in the last year. Lovinggood spoke today at Blue Ridge’s annual luncheon for the media. Blue Ridge officials say they once again, for the 37th year, are making general refunds to customers. Those checks were placed in the mail today.
