Test positivity drops, but death numbers jump

The percentage of COVID-19 test data on Tuesday in South Carolina fell to 24.4%, from nearly 34% the previous day.  However, the number of South Carolinians confirmed to have died from the virus during the 24-hour count for Tuesday was placed by DHEC at 107, with another 30 probable deaths.  Several of the 107 number were residents of Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens counties.  For Oconee, there were five confirmed new COVID-19 deaths.  According to the running totals kept by the state health agency, there have been 292 COVID-19 deaths so far among the Oconee populace.  Of that number, 275 are confirmed deaths; 17 are considered probable.
