Tennis anyone? But not baseball, at least yet

Walhalla is part of a state that is trying to emerge from the lockdown piecemeal, and part of the relaxation will start tomorrow with the re-opening of some of the city’s recreation offerings.  Walhalla’s Brandon Burton says the Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park and surrounding facilities will open tomorrow morning, and personnel will be monitoring those facilities to try to ensure social distancing.  Recreation department offering, such as tennis, pickle ball and disc golf, don’t require close physical contact.  They will be permitted starting tomorrow morning at the city’s parks.  Recreation Department softball and baseball offerings are another question, however, for which city officials believe there will be direction in a couple of weeks from state recreation authorities.
