Taxpayers can look for winter time tax refund

Seneca’s state lawmaker says South Carolina taxpayers can look forward to a one-time, $50 refund to arrive some time in December.  The $50 will reflect a $61.4 million payment that South Carolina realized from the sale of a winning lottery ticket that will net the ticket buyers hundreds of millions of dollars.  It was thought that the state would use the money to meet one or more needs.  But Rep. Sandifer says the governor and the legislature agreed that the state should use some of the money to give a refund to the taxpayers.
