Talks being held to solve worker shortages

The brand new executive of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce says the chamber is engaged with education officials to try to find a way to lessen the worker shortage facing chamber business members, as well as business in general.  The chamber’s Crystal Romanyszyn is not optimistic that the problem will be completely eliminated, but hopeful that talks with high school and college officials will help.  A few meetings have already been held, but there will be an important event in early November:  the Fred Hamilton Career and Technology Center will sponsor a business and industry night in early November, an event Romanyszyn hopes many of the chamber’s members will attend.
