Those outdoor warning sirens are to sound today as a test that they are working properly.  The 65 sirens will blast between 11 this morning and 1 this afternoon.  If there were a real emergency at Oconee Nuclear Station, local radio (such as 101.7/WGOG) and TV would broadcast info and instructions to the public.
