Hart makes statement on county’s bond issue

Glenn Hart, the District Four county councilman, has issued a statement on what appears to be the largest Oconee County general government bond issue. And the proceeds have been received and invested by Greg Nowell. Hart’s statement is being aired today on 101.7/WGOG Newscasts.

A ceremony this evening ushers in a new set of Walhalla leaders. It’s swearing-in time at 5:30 this evening at the Center for the Performing Arts for a new mayor, Tim Hall, returning councilwoman Sarai Melendez and council newcomers Josh Holliday and Josh Thomas. Another new councilman, Kenny Johns, has already started his term.

A garage is all that stands the result of a late Tuesday home fire in Clemson, according to one of the public safety responders.
