Survey team to make re-accreditation visit

A five-member team from Advanced Ed Accreditation in Atlanta will make a three-day visit to the Oconee School District in March to evaluate the district’s policies, programs, practices and learning conditions. All of this is go into an evaluation that determines whether the Oconee public schools are deserving of re-accreditation. Lisa Simmons, assistant superintendent for instruction, says district personnel are preparing for the evaluation. Oconee school officials know the surveyors will visit classrooms in some of the schools, but they won’t know which ones until they take place.
