Sunday incident in Seneca is alleged to have been a kidnapping

The police say a woman from Seneca was hospitalized and taken into custody in a a far eastern central Georgia county in a case that developed into an alleged kidnapping of two boys.  Chief John Covington of the Seneca police says after a chase, Screvin County, Georgia authorities took Alexus Skinner to a hospital out of precaution.  Covington says she is to remain in Georgia custody until his department is able to extradite her to face charges of kidnapping her two nephews–six and eight-year old boys.  Covington said, “We are very thankful the children are safe….”  Skinner and her nephews were considered missing while a parent of the boys was working.  The aunt and the nephews were traced to a car that police spotted at 3:30 yesterday morning near Augusta.
