Successful rescue at Brasstown Falls

Word arrives this morning of a successful rescue early last night at the southern edge of the Sumter National Forest in Oconee County.  Rescuers came to the aid of a 17-year old boy, who suffered a broken leg at Brasstown Falls.  One of the more scenic outdoor spots in the county, Brasstown Falls tumbles 120 feet in what are called three consecutive and dramatic drops.  Rescuers were alerted around 6 pm and required an approximate five-hour operation.
