Sub-committee of three goes to work next week

Often, a common response to a problem in government is to throw at a committee at it. And that’s exactly what Oconee Planning Commission has done to evaluate what can be done to improve the highway corridors that lead into the county. Those corridors include the heavily-traveled 123 from Clemson into the changing eastern section of Oconee. Three county planning commissioners have been designated to form corridor sub-committee. Mike Johnson, Stacy Lyles, and Andy Gramling meet for the first time next week. The planning commission staff member, Adam Chapman, “traffic safety” is apt to be the most primary of four general areas that the sub-committee will look at.
