Stressing child abuse prevention

The virus and the tornado have naturally diverted the attention of many Oconeeans from a yearly observance that focuses on the need to prevent child abuse.  April is Child Abuse Prevention month, and the month almost got by without a formal recognition.  That will end during the noon hour today when Walhalla Mayor Edwards and a couple of city council members will read a proclamation and place pinwheels in front of the police station.
