Stolen items recovered, arrests made

Private property taken in thefts at a housing complex near Clemson led investigators to a Seneca business last week and the arrests of suspects.  The Oconee Sheriff’s Office announces two of the arrested individuals–Austin Matthew Land and Robert Creed Gibson–were taken into custody at an Oconee Square business where a stolen bank card was used and the victim’s name forged.  The arrests of 27-year old Land and 25-year old Gibson were part of an investigation of vehicle break-ins and home burglary at the Pier apartments.  According to the sheriff’s office, 25-year old Samantha Rae Arnold was taken into custody on charges of financial card forgery transaction and financial transaction card fraud.  What happened to at the Pier is a reminder for everyone to lock their doors, their car doors, and remove personal and valuable items from parked vehicles.
