Stefan Takacs

Westminster – Stefan J. Takacs 80, husband of the late Carol Belinda Hulgan Takacs, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Pruitt Health -Aiken.

Born in Hungary, Stefan was the son of the late Dr. Sandor Takacs and Margit Takacs Gyarfas.  Stefan was an International Salesman for Caterpillar and owner of Outdoors Sports in the Southeast magazine.  Stefan was a United States Air Force Veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Christopher Jason Takacs of Dade City, FL; daughter, Stephanie T. Matheson and husband Kevin of Westminster; grandchildren, Emily Leigh Matheson, John-Furman Kevin Matheson, Christopher Garrett Takacs, Christina Grace Takacs, Faith Lynn Takacs; and his sister, Rita Ciocca of Italy.

Per Stefan’s wishes, no formal service will be held.

The family is at their respective homes.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Stefan’s memory may be made to a charitable organization that emphasizes spending time outdoors. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
