State police arrest three in Pickens jail investigation

“SLED” agents have arrested three people in Pickens County in an investigation of a scheme in which methamphetamine was provided to jail inmates. One of the arrested is a former detention center officer, Zachary Keith Blanton. The two others were identified as inmates—Susan Lynn Maready of Easley and Dustin Allen Wilson of Pickens. Twenty-three year old Blanton was charged with misconduct in office and furnishing contraband to prisoners. Forty-five-year old Maready and 33-year old Wilson were charged with conspiracy. At the request of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the state police investigated.
