State park cabin at the center of dispute

A Greenville County woman has filed a premises liability lawsuit against state park service authorities, and her attorney wants a jury to award triple damages for what she alleges happened in an Oconee State Park cabin. The plaintiff in the civil case is Sadie Suttle who rented an Oconee State Park cabin for one week during the Christmas-New Year’s week in 2017-18. The lawsuit alleges Suttle had just arrived at the cabin when she crossed the floor and caught a foot in a grate on the floor. The suit claims “The grate was not properly secured and flipped up causing Ms. Suttle to fall into a large hole.” It’s alleged that a park worker didn’t secure the grate after cleaning the cabin.
