State lawmakers to return with overrides on their minds

Bill Sandifer, Seneca’s state lawmaker, is contemplating what action that he and the rest of his colleagues will take when they return to Columbia on Tuesday.  On their legislative plate will be whether to override or sustain the end of the session vetoes by Governor Henry McMaster.  The governor did not override items such as increased spending for teachers and other state employees.  He did, however, strike down money for a sports marketing program for the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department and money to pay to sink an old submarine at Patriots Point.
