Start of Osborne proceedings delayed

Word from Anderson County Courthouse is that there’s a one-hour delay in the start of the proceedings involving Jesse Osborne, who has admitted guilt in the fatal shootings at Townville.  Start time in the sentencing phase of the lengthy case is now said to be 11 o’clock this morning.  Fourteen years old at the time of the shootings, Osborne late last year pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murders. The fatal victims on September 28, 2016 were Osborne’s father at the family home, along with a Townville Elementary first grader at his school.  A teacher and two other first graders were wounded.  The hearing that starts today is required due to the prosecution seeking a sentence of life without parole.  This week’s proceedings are anticipated to run at least two to three days
