Start of Alzheimer’s study at Oconee hospital

A Clemson University member of the psychology department announces a new study, underway at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital, in which researchers will work to find ways to prevent dementia, such as Alzheimer’s.  That’s why, Mary Brock says, volunteers are needed as the researchers go about studying whether computerized training exercises can reduce dementia.  Volunteers are being sought to commit to three study visits of up to two hours each over a three-year period.  You will also be asked to complete 45, one-hour computer training sessions on your own, in your own home.  To volunteer, call this number:  864/916-6220.
