Southern Wesleyan welcomes first Jericho occupants

A five-year project reached opening stage last week when the Southern Wesleyan University in Central welcomed the first occupants of an on-campus residential facility that will mix students with individuals with disabilities and special needs.  A lunch and learn event for the SWU/Jericho Project will take place 11:30 am Tuesday, September 6 in Founders Hall.  Guest speaker will be Elaine Thena, executive director of the board for Pickens County Disabilities and Special Needs.  The program will feature a SWU students involved in the project.  After lunch, there will be a tour of the facility.
