South Carolina quickly disburses its limited supply–report

The state health agency called attention yesterday to a new national report that ranked South Carolina fifth in the country for how quickly the state is getting COVID-19 vaccine into people’s arms.  Becker’s Hospital Review released its daily “States ranked by percentage of COVID-19 vaccines administered” report.  However, the problem that South Carolina and other parts of the country face is acquiring enough vaccine for everyone.  Until that day arrives, DHEC urges state residents to continue the daily precautions to prevent the disease.  The virus continues to spread across the state at high levels.  Even after receiving your vaccine, you’ll need to wear a mask and physically distance from others until enough of the population is vaccinated against the deadly disease.
