Social media comments of university worker criticized

A conservative watchdog of the country’s higher education system has published an article detailing remarks attributed to the daughter of a Seneca councilwoman posted to a social media account related to students of Republican persuasion applying to Clemson University.  The daughter of Seneca Councilwoman Denise Rozman, Monica Rozman, is an undergraduate admissions counselor.  The comments attributed to Monica Rozman, suggest that students who apply to Clemson who consider themselves Republican should denounce white supremacy and misogyny within the GOP.  The article posted came from Campus Reform which seeks to expose liberal bias on college campuses.  Reaction from Clemson spokesman Joe Galbraith:  the statements “are not consistent with the admissions policies or practices” of the university.  Further Galbraith is quoted as saying:  “Admissions decisions are made by the leadership of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and the views expressed on the personal social media channel of this individual – who does not make admissions decisions – are not consistent with the admissions policies or practices of Clemson University.”
