Snag develops in property buy for new Seneca school

An obstacle stands in the way of the Oconee School District acquiring all of the property it wants for the new Seneca Middle School. In February, the district identified Wells Highway and Garrison Road properties belonging to three landowners. The district then approached the DOT for the necessary entry and exit approvals. Now, however, according to associate superintendent Steve Hanvey, one of the properties is in the probate court, and there’s no immediate timeframe for how long it will take for that property to be probated.
