Shirley Nix
McCormick– Shirley Mae Loudermilk Nix, 81, wife of the late Tommy B. Nix, passed away on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at Self-Regional Healthcare.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Shirley was the daughter of the late Walter Benjamin Loudermilk and Essie Mae Cushman Loudermilk. Shirley retired from JP Stevens where she was a seamstress. Shirley was a tough loving mother who loved John Wayne, hunting, and fishing.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Tommy Maurice Nix of McCormick, and Donald Richard Nix of Seneca; daughter, Shirley Elaine Mize of Seneca; brothers, Anthony Loudermilk, Roger Loudermilk; sisters, Doris Wilbanks, Sharon Donald, Pam Welborn McQuirt, Shelby Dockery; grandchildren, Tabatha Turner, Ashleigh Mize, Samantha Nix, Brittany Nix, Tyler Mize, Sandra Grinnell, Scott Nix, James Nix, Lorie Nix, Heather Nix, Sarah Nix, Jon Nix, Denise Nix; 33 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sons, Charles Edward Nix, and Timothy Eugene Nix; brother Rudy Loudermilk; grandson, James Thomas Nix, and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Oconee Memorial Park.
