Shelia Butts
Westminster – Sheila Ann Meeler Butts, 59, wife of Davis Michael “Butch” Butts, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Sheila was the daughter of Mary M. Blackwell Johnston of Westminster and the late Grover Lamar Meeler. Sheila worked for the Oconee School District (ground facility) and was a bus driver for Seneca Schools. Sheila was a member of Awaken Church of God, an outreach pastor, an excellent wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
Sheila is survived by her mother, loving husband, daughters, Jamie Miller (TJ King) of Seneca, Summer Morgan (Lee) of Tennessee, Samantha Ahnert (Matt) of Seneca; step-daughter, Jessica Bright (Dusty) of Walhalla; brothers, Fred Lyon (Sherry) of Walhalla, Larry Lyon of Central; stepbrother, Rickey Dodgens of Westminster; sister, Jackie Moore (Danny) of Walhalla; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 29th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family 9:30 am – 11:00 am, Monday, May 29th, 2023 prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
