SFC, Billy Clayton Finch, Ret. US Army

Seneca – SFC, Billy Clayton Finch, Ret. US Army, 77, husband of Janet Elizabeth Edwards Campbell Finch, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

 

Born March 29th, 1946, in Seneca, South Carolina, Billy was the son of the late Jack and Lula Mae Crooks Finch.  Billy served in the United States Army for 23 years as a Drill sergeant and he was the sole owner and operator for 31 years of Finch Alignment. He was a Free Mason with Lodge 185 and a Past President of the Blue Ridge Shrine Club. Billy had a great passion for cars and street rods, he was the former President of the Golden Corner Street Rods and Classic Cars and a member of Grace Baptist Church.

 

Billy is survived by his wife, Janet Elizabeth Edwards Campbell Finch; sons, Kevin Campbell, and Kelly Campbell (Regina Rabb); brothers, Kenneth Finch (Karen), Bobby Finch, and Jerry Finch (Lynn); sister, Brenda Bryan (the late Rick); grandchildren, Cody Campbell, Casey Campbell, Alyssa Martin, Makayla Campbell, Chloe Campbell, Austin Campbell, Savanah Campbell, and Cole Rabb; great-grandchildren, Avery Campbell, Hudson Campbell, McKenzie Campbell, Caleb Morton, Ahria Bertich, Aven Bertich, Avery Bertich.

 

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Finch, and a great-grandson, Bradley Campbell.

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church with burial to follow, with full Military Honors, at Oconee Memorial Park.  To honor Billy’s passion the family requests that you drive your street rod or classic car to lead him to the cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
