Sewer folks to vote on a legal response

In a meeting Monday, the finance and administration committee of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority is scheduled to vote on allowing its attorneys to send a written response to the city of Seneca demand letter of November 9.  Up for consideration is whether, the committee recommends that the full JRSA board direct in-house Attorney Larry Brandt and/or outside attorney Lawrence Flynn to make the response.  Scott Moulder, Seneca representative to JRSA, recently lamented that all recipients of the November 9 letter had not officially responded.  With the filing of a lawsuit a possibility Seneca is pressing its demand that, as the largest user of the sewer system, it’s deserving of increased representation on the policy board and has implored the JRSA and member cities Walhalla and Westminster to agree to change the board makeup.
