Serious car accident near Walhalla

A driver near Walhalla was trapped inside her wrecked Nissan Frontier for 20 minutes, as public safety responders worked to free her and send her to hospital.  Last night’s accident scene was SC 183/the Walhalla-Pickens Highway at Fairfield Road.  Oconee EMS and Walhalla Fire were alerted at 8:30 last night.  The injured driver, identified to 101.7/WGOG NEWS, as a female was sent to the Greenville Memorial Hospital.  Late last night her condition was unknown to the Walhalla Fire Department.
