Seneca’s top public safety officers

Pictures were taken and certificates awarded last night to the Seneca police officer of the year and the city fire fighter of the year.  They are so awarded by the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative and were feted with compliments by the police chief and the fire chief.  Police Chief Bowling announced Lt. John Williams as his department’s officer of the year and praised Williams for adapting to a varied number of duties; Fire Chief Caudill announced Lt. Joey Lament as his department’s top officer for the year.  According to Caudill, 22-year fire service veteran Lament is known for being the most organized member of the department.
