Seneca welcomes a new home development, albeit concern

Seneca has agreed to annex property southwest of the city that is to be home to a 122-home development and to zone the property (PDR) Planned Development-Residential.  But there are concerns, especially about density.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, told city council that the home development on Garrison Road near the city’s new middle school points up a need for the city to coordinate with the county when it comes to property adjoining city limits whose owners wish bring inside the city limits.  Last night’s city council votes came on a recommendation from its planning commission which debated the proposition during a recent public hearing.  Seneca resident Mary Alles White, who attended the planning commission meeting, said wished the council would consider the matter carefully and not take it lightly.
