Seneca to temporarily contract building inspections

A company in Central will temporarily conduct buildings inspections for the city of Seneca, while the city advertises for a new building inspector.  Seneca’s elected leaders learned last night from their administrator that long-time building inspector B-J Klaren, at his request, will fill another position in city government.  The city has chosen the company Safe Built will charge Seneca $70 dollars an hour for building inspections and related services, but there will be no change in the rates paid by contractors.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, said associated with Safe Built is Eddie Moore, a long-time building official.
