Seneca on the verge of a “new business initiative”

Seneca leaders are beaming over the latest developments in their downtown.  Harper’s Plaza will see a green space and, perhaps, the city’s first public splash pad—right in the midst of the downtown.  A companion building, the former Kimbrell’s, could well be the next old structure to meet the wrecking ball, and make way for something new.  Mayor Alexander said today that his city is appreciative of those business people who’ve been investing not only downtown, but along the 123 By-Pass areas.  The mayor, along with City Administrator Scott Moulder, will be part of an announcement on Tuesday next week of what’s being called a “new business initiative affecting Seneca area businesses.” Speaking on 94.1 The Lake, Mayor Alexander remembered Carol Field, the businesswoman, who many decades ago showed a passion for a re-birth of the city’s business district.
