A Seneca man was arrested in Stephens County after a traffic stop. According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, on October 22, at approximately 3 p.m., a Stephens County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a report of a reckless driver on Big A Road. The deputy observed a vehicle matching the description and began to monitor the vehicle. During a search, according to the sheriff’s office, a deputy located a firearm and multiple amounts of illegal drugs including methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl. Joshua Sanders, 40 years old, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl. Shirley says, because of the amount of illegal drugs, Sanders was also charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl; one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, and one count of littering. Sanders was in the Stephens County Jail awaiting a bond hearing in Superior Court.
