Seneca High’s “Emerging Women”

At Seneca High School, a group of girls is emerging into women.  Members of the group “Emerging Women” stood before the Seneca City Council last night and reported their part in helping a couple of public service projects (the Safe Harbor shelter and Making My Mark which strives to spread suicide awareness).  The students have raised money for the service groups.  They thanked city council for the city’s contribution and requested a new $1,500 dollar donation.  Councilwoman Lekesha Benson said, “I am so impressed”.  At that, the council and last night’s audience broke out in applause for the students.
