Seneca councilmen quiz Halbig about dedicated bus stops

In his report on two recent public hearings on bus service, Seneca’s Ed Halbig was questioned by a couple of council members about the possibility that someday there will be dedicated bus stops for picking up and leaving off “CAT” passengers. Halbig, the planning and community development director, said in a meeting city officials are having soon with county officials there will be talk about the increasing congestion along 123, between Seneca and Clemson, and how safety could be improved if buses are able to pull off the highway and make stops. Councilman Rev. W-C Honeycutt asked if a spot in front of the Ebenezer Baptist Church is a dedicated stop. No, it is not, according to Halbig. But it is frequently used by buses to pick up and drop off riders.
