Seneca businesswoman in an academic exercise

A Seneca businesswoman judged a Clemson University academic exercise that encouraged students to develop ideas, explore solutions, and compete for prizes.  The competition was Cultivate.CAFLS.  A co-owner of Keowee Brewing in Seneca, Allison Butterbaugh spent 13 years in the dairy industry before moving to own and operate a brewery, with her husband.  She was glad to judge competition that let students develop entrepreneur ideas.  The winning project centered on delivering locally grown flowers in sustainable packaging. Butterbaugh said, “…I’m really excited to share this knowledge, not only what I’ve done in the corporate world but also what I’ve had to learn — essentially own your own–being a small-business owner.”
