Seneca burglary suspect apprehended

The Seneca area man for whom a crime stoppers alert was posted Friday is in custody. Seneca Police Chief John Covington says Joshua Douglas Burns was arrested without incident yesterday afternoon at his Owens Road home although, at first, Burns refused to come of the home. Covington says his officers, along with Oconee deputies, made the arrest. In a case that remains under investigation, Burns has been served with six arrest warrants. He is accused of burglary at the Oconee Rescue Squad on Utica’s Goddard Avenue and at the nearby Seneca Rail Park industrial parking building belonging to the city.
