Seneca building demolish project imminent

Scott Moulder admitted he might have had trouble sleeping overnight, due to the anticipation that today or tomorrow could see the start of the partial take down of the former Harper’s building downtown.  During last night’s special council meeting, the city administrator described the contractor as an all-business, get the job done now type. The large machinery needed to get the job done will be parked in the one-block section of Depot Street, between Main and N. 1st streets.  To the naked eye, the yellow or cream-colored parts of the large building are to disappear while the city intends to save the red brick parts, which are considered historical having been laid in the late 1800s.
