Seneca boy spearheads heartfelt drive

A Seneca Middle School student is paying attention to more than just his ABC’s. Once again, James Adams has led a drive to benefit those who, because of domestic abuse, require the services of the local Safe Harbor shelter. James chose the shelter as the beneficiary of a collection drive in memory of his mother, the late Circuit Court Solicitor Chrissy Adams. Mrs. Adams was outspoken in her comments and efforts to assist Safe Harbor and bring to light the predicaments of those who crime victims in their own homes. This year’s drive culminated this week with the collection and delivery of thousands of items that can be used by the shelter and the benefit of those who find refuge there—items such as toilet paper, power towers, and detergent. James had help from his friends, as well as the kind support of his fellow middle school students and the general public.
