Second trial witness is Baltimore ophthalmologist

When Camille Hess went for emergency treatment at the Oconee hospital, an ophthalmologist was not immediately available. How soon she was later able to find a specialist in Greenville is an issue in Hess’s damage suit against the hospital and an E-R doctor. Today Hess’s lawyer called his second witness—an ophthalmologist from Johns Hopkins University. The lawsuit filed for Hess by attorney Larry Brandt alleges the defendants “are in some degree liable for her injuries and damages as all of them failed to achieve to the accepted standards of medical care required of them in the treatment and services rendered to her on 6/06/2014 that resulted in the loss of sight in her left eye….” Steven Snyder, attorney for Dr. Miles McGuff, disagrees and he has asked the jury to weigh all the evidence that they will hear in the trial.
