Scott weighs-in as new Armed Services Committee member

Senator Tim Scott on his recent appointment to the Armed Services Committee says both national security and South Carolina’s well being are top priorities for him. And Republican Scott says he has the honor of serving on the Conference Committee for the National Defense Authorization Act which means his seat at the table puts him good in good position to advocate for South Carolina and the broader national security interests. Scott identifies key provisions that he had a hand in: South Carolina base improvements, a military pay raise of 2.6%, military equipment enhancements, and resources to advance ship building across South Carolina.
