Scott and Graham vote to end the shutdown

South Carolina U-S senators Scott and Graham voted yesterday to end the government shutdown.  “Ending the government shutdown stops the losing for the country.  But it’s not winning.  Winning is solving the nation’s problems,” Graham said in a statement.  His colleague Scott termed what happened the “Schumer shutdown,”–a reference to his Senate counterpart, New York Democrat Chuck Schumer.  Third District Congressman Jeff Duncan said the Democrats caved.
