Schools update their COVID-19 guidelines

In the Oconee County public schools, at the start of this new year, masks are now strongly encouraged for all students and staff.  Visitors to school buildings will be limited to essential reasons only, and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.  Elementary students will be “co-horted”—meaning classrooms will not “mix” with other classrooms during the day.  Elementary students will eat meals in the classroom.  Field trips are suspended for the first, 9 weeks of school.  These guidelines can change at any time in response to the pandemic or legislative action.
