Schools to make bus-mask announcement

Requiring all aboard Oconee school buses to wear facial coverings is not working all together.  Associate Superintendent Steve Hanvey says following the federal rule is working well among elementary school bus riders, but not so well among middle and high school riders where, Hanvey admits, there’s been “a little resistance.”  If a student boarding the bus is not wearing a mask, the driver offers one.  If the student declines, a warning is issued.  Starting Monday, he says, the warning will be replaced Tuesday with a disciplinary process.
