School District touts advantages of virtual learning

Oconee public schools are making available to students in the 7th through the 12th grade virtual courses.  They are offered during the fall and spring semesters, as well as in the summer.  Virtual learning offers options for students who would like to graduate early, make room in their schedule to attend the dual enrollment classes at the career and technology center, work a part-time job, catch up, get ahead on credits, or have a lighter course load over the academic year.  In virtual courses, students may tackle their studies at the prescribed or accelerated pace, to finish assignments any time of day, and schedule teacher office hours for questions and support.  Offerings for grades 9-12 are numerous and varied, and may be viewed on the version of this story carried by the wgog.com news link.
