School district nears new definition for bullying

If you’ve been bullied, chances are you know it. But what is bullying exactly. The Oconee School District is working on a definition. The board of trustees this month is being asked to adopt the following definition. “School District of Oconee County defines Bullying as ‘when a person or persons repeatedly and on purpose does something to another person. A pattern of behavior by the bully exists, so that it becomes an imbalance of social or physical power, which distinguishes bullying from conflict.’”
