School breakfast take-outs disappointment

Oconee School District apologizes for the quality of the breakfast take-outs that were distributed this morning in the Walhalla area. A communication issue now corrected was blamed.  The schools are promising all future meals will be more substantial and nutritious. Dr. Michael Thorsland, superintendent, said, “Rest assured, we will do our best to not have this happen again.”  The Seneca and West-Oak area distribution sites did not face the same breakfast quality problem.  According to the announcement, “One other issue we have faced is that some of our buses ran behind.  We expect this to be corrected by lunch today.”
